Overview

Under the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s initiative to extend electricity access to remote and off-grid communities, this programme covers the site identification, feasibility, design, procurement, and construction supervision of 40 mini/micro hydropower stations ranging from 11 kW to 808 kW — a combined capacity of roughly 6,366 kW — located across Mardan, Swabi, and Haripur under Package 3, Lot II. CIV Tech Associates holds a 50% share of the assignment as Regional Manager (PMC) in joint venture with Electra Consultants, covering detailed design review, EPC contractor procurement, and supervision of construction, testing, and commissioning across all 40 sites, alongside organisation of village-level cooperation for plant operation.

Implementation Approach

As Regional Manager (PMC) with a 50% share in joint venture with Electra Consultants, CIV Tech Associates is overseeing the rollout of 40 mini/micro hydel stations in Lot II across Mardan, Swabi, and Haripur, supervising design review through to testing and commissioning at each site.

Conclusion

Package 3 of the Access to Clean Energy Investment Program is bringing electricity to previously unserved villages across three districts, through a distributed network of 40 mini/micro hydel stations.
